Job Summary :

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Install new equipment and assist with equipment upgrades or modifications
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school or certification preferred
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Familiarity with PLCs, welding, and fabrication a plus
  • Must be self-motivated, safety-conscious, and a strong team player

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand, bend, climb, and walk for extended periods
  • Work in varying temperatures and conditions

Argo Products Company, a leader in the metalworking industry, seeks full-time machine set-up roles for both 1st and 2nd shift. Punch Press or Press Brake Set Up experience required. Progressive stamping experience, spot welding, or wire forming skills are a plus!

Responsibilities :

  • Operate and maintain stamping press machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications
  • Set up and adjust machine controls for each job, ensuring proper settings for speed, pressure, and feed rates
  • Monitor production process, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, performing visual checks and using measuring tools as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents to understand production requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and meet production targets
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements :

- Previous experience as a Press Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment

- Experience setting up and running progressive dies a plus

- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to understand product specifications

- Knowledge of stamping press operations, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements using precision tools

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure

Repair existing, and build new fixtures, jigs, dies or gages. Must be able to troubleshoot tooling while working in conjunction in a team environment

Position includes but not limited to :

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products
  • Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders

Required Skills/Abilities :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • technical degree or certification preferred

  • 3+ years’ of experience working in a tool fabrication environment
  • Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • Able to work independently and with other machinists and engineers
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
